Twen­ty-nine more peo­ple have test­ed pos­i­tive for COVID-19, re­ports the Min­istry of Health in its lat­est up­date. These 29 new pa­tients will be processed for ad­mis­sion at the dis­cre­tion of the Coun­ty Med­ical Of­fi­cer of Health (CMOH).

The Bar­keep­ers and Op­er­a­tors As­so­ci­a­tion of Trinidad and To­ba­go (BOATT) is re­fut­ing analy­sis that seems to sug­gest the re­cent spike in COVID-19 cas­es in this coun­try, came as a re­sult of the re­port­ed “last lap” event.

Two branch­es of Sco­tia­bank have been closed tem­porar­i­ly and en­hanced health and safe­ty pro­to­cols im­ple­ment­ed, fol­low­ing con­fir­ma­tion of a COVID-19 pos­i­tive case at each lo­ca­tion.

An­oth­er group of COVID-19 pos­i­tive tests re­sults has the na­tion­al to­tal for ac­tive cas­es inch­ing clos­er to the 2,000 mark, as the Min­istry of Health an­nounces 78 new cas­es in its lat­est up­date.

The Pres­i­dent of the San Juan Busi­ness As­so­ci­a­tion (SJ­BA), Vivek Char­ran, is call­ing on the au­thor­i­ties to move quick­ly to end the cur­rent wa­ter short­age in the con­stituen­cy of San Juan / Barataria.

Per­sons who have been placed in home quar­an­tine, es­pe­cial­ly those who have test COVID-19 pos­i­tive, will be mon­i­tored by the Po­lice Ser­vice’s Emer­gency Re­sponse Pa­trol (ERP) ve­hi­cles and oth­er pa­trols in all nine Polic­ing Di­vi­sions, to en­sure they abide by the stip­u­la­tions of their quar­an­tine.
