1 more COVID death in Tobago, an unvaccinated person

An un­vac­ci­nat­ed per­son is the lat­est COVID-19 vic­tim in To­ba­go, ac­cord­ing to the up­date for Thurs­day 3rd Feb­ru­ary 2022, re­leased by the Di­vi­sion of Health, Well­ness and So­cial Pro­tec­tion, in the To­ba­go House of As­sem­bly (THA).

Ac­cord­ing to the up­date, this is the on­ly new death record­ed on the is­land over the past 24 hours, and it brings the to­tal to 234 lives lost on the is­land, since March 2020.

More peo­ple have test­ed COVID-19 pos­i­tive—some 16 new cas­es were record­ed, bring­ing the cur­rent num­ber of ac­tive pos­i­tive cas­es to 410.

The Di­vi­sion’s up­date al­so re­ports that some 22 peo­ple cur­rent­ly are hos­pi­talised with COVID-19. Of these, 18 have not been vac­ci­nat­ed at all against the dis­ease, while 4 per­sons have been ful­ly vac­ci­nat­ed.

The up­date al­so notes that a to­tal of 6,031 peo­ple in To­ba­go have man­aged to re­cov­er from COVID-19.
