ANSA Mer­chant Bank, a mem­ber of the ANSA McAL Group, part­nered with the Ch­agua­nas Bor­ough Cor­po­ra­tion on Fri­day to dis­trib­ute ham­pers to 50 needy peo­ple and fam­i­lies through­out the bor­ough. May­or Van­dana Mo­hit said the move by the ANSA McAL group was most wel­comed since many peo­ple have had lit­tle to eat due to the lock­down as a re­sult of the COVID-19 pan­dem­ic. Mo­hit said peo­ple are still feel­ing the brunt of COVID-19 even though we have been able to flat­ten the curve in T&T. "We still have per­sons who are in need, sin­gle moth­ers, per­sons who have lost their jobs, fam­i­lies who have many chil­dren and can­not af­ford to look af­ter them at this point," she said.

Anand Ram­lal, spokesman for ANSA Mer­chant Bank said they have reached out to peo­ple across north and south Trinidad to bring some mea­sure of re­lief.
