The fam­i­ly of Denyse Plum­mer has re­leased a state­ment on Face­book say­ing she is "alive and well, rest­ing at home on this rainy Wednes­day."

The fam­i­ly state­ment said they have re­ceived an over­whelm­ing out­pour of love and sup­port.

It went fur­ther in chastis­ing a me­dia house that re­port­ed Plum­mer's death. "It goes with­out say­ing we are quite dis­ap­point­ed the me­dia would put this news in­to the pub­lic eye with­out prop­er ver­i­fi­ca­tion, but what’s done is done," the state­ment said.

The fam­i­ly said it has sought to as­sure fam­i­ly, friends and fans that "she’s still with us".
