Enterprise man gunned down in car

Po­lice are prob­ing sev­er­al oth­er mur­ders across the coun­try over the week­end.

In Ch­agua­nas, in­ves­ti­ga­tions are con­tin­u­ing in­to the mur­der of a 50-year-old man yes­ter­day morn­ing.

The vic­tim was iden­ti­fied as Rob­by “Dundee” Lutch­mans­ingh, a labour­er from John Street in En­ter­prise.

Po­lice said around 1.50 am Lutch­mans­ingh was re­turn­ing home when three men armed with firearms, ap­proached the ve­hi­cle he was in and opened fire on him.

Po­lice said Lutch­mans­ingh died in­stant­ly in the ve­hi­cle when he was shot. The gun­men then fled.

Man found mur­dered af­ter gun­shots heard

A 48-year-old Va­len­cia man was found mur­dered at his home on Sat­ur­day af­ter­noon af­ter neigh­bours heard gun­shots near his home the day be­fore.

Po­lice re­ports said Hen­ry Jobe of Par­adise Cir­cu­lar, Ben­ny Road, Va­len­cia was found around 4.50 pm. Rel­a­tives of Jobe re­port­ed to of­fi­cers that af­ter the gun­shots were heard, Jobe was not seen or heard from. Of­fi­cers of the Va­len­cia Po­lice Sta­tion ac­com­pa­nied rel­a­tives to his home.

Up­on ar­rival, of­fi­cers dis­cov­ered Jobe’s front door was forced open. He was found ly­ing on the floor near his bath­room with mul­ti­ple gun­shot wounds to the face and head.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors so far have no mo­tive for his killing.

De­com­pos­ing body fished out of Gulf of Paria

The de­com­pos­ing body of a man was fished out of the Gulf of Paria yes­ter­day morn­ing.

Po­lice said at about 8 am fish­er­men no­ticed the man’s body float­ing face down in the wa­ter.

With the help of the T&T Coast Guard, the man was re­moved from the wa­ter and tak­en to Staubles Bay be­fore be­ing sent to the Foren­sic Sci­ence Cen­tre.
