SASCHA WIL­SON

A 42-year-old mo­torist died af­ter he lost con­trol and crashed in­to a cul­vert in Bar­rack­pore on Sun­day.

The vic­tim, iden­ti­fied as Ganesh Bin­da of Loth­i­ans Road, Princes Town, died at the scene.

Ini­tial in­for­ma­tion stat­ed that around 5:30pm, Bin­da was in a gold Toy­ota Al­tis in com­pa­ny with Er­rol Nanan, 39, and Dan­ny Mooni­lal, head­ing along Rochard Dou­glas Road, when he lost con­trol and crashed in­to a cul­vert, on the right side of the road.

The oth­er oc­cu­pants were treat­ed at the San Fer­nan­do Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal.

Bar­rack­pore po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing.
