A 27-year-old Ma­yaro woman was killed af­ter she threw her­self in front of a mov­ing ve­hi­cle Wednes­day night.

She has been iden­ti­fied as Julie Ra­moutar, a moth­er of three, in­clud­ing a 7-month old child.

Re­ports in­di­cate that around 9.30 pm Wednes­day, Ra­moutar ran in­to the path of a Nis­san Almera near LP 34 St Ann’s Vil­lage, Ma­yaro.

Doc­tors at the Ma­yaro Dis­trict Hos­pi­tal were un­able to re­vive Ra­moutar and she was pro­nounced dead.

Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the in­ci­dent.
