Noah Lyles is the Olympic 100m cham­pi­on af­ter a scin­til­lat­ing fi­nal at the Paris Olympics. Both he and Ja­maica’s Kis­hane Thomp­son both clocked 9.79 sec­onds, how­ev­er, re­plays show Lyles breast­ed the line first. Amer­i­can Fred Ker­ley placed third in a fi­nal for the ages.
