Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley, and Minister of Energy and Energy Industries, Stuart Young MP, both had an opportunity today, to learn of Proman’s future proposals for its participation T&T’s energy industry.
An official statement released by the Office of the Prime Minister reports that discussions included upstream gas projects, among others.
“Future projects, including proposals related to upstream gas projects and proposals related to carbon capture utilization and storage, featured heavily at today’s talks,” the PM’s Office release revealed.
It noted that both Dr Rowley and Minister Young “received detailed presentations surrounding Proman’s technology and innovation approach and its applicability to the local industry.”

The special presentation, which included the Chief Executive of Proman, David Cassidy, took place at Proman’s offices in Dusseldorf, Germany.
“They both met with the leaders driving the energy company’s global projects with a view to exploring opportunities for further development in Trinidad and Tobago,” the PM’s Office said.
On Monday, September 5, the PM’s Office reported that during his meeting with Proman’s chief, David Cassidy, at the company’s Zurich, Switzerland headquarters, Mr Cassidy reaffirmed Proman’s commitment to T&T’s energy sector, to the tune of US$1.1 billion in investments over the next decade.
The PM’s Office says Dr Rowley will travel to London on Wednesday, where he is expected to meet with executives from BP on Thursday morning.
