The Trin­ba­go Uni­fied Ca­lyp­so­ni­ans’ Or­gan­i­sa­tion (TU­CO), in col­lab­o­ra­tion with the Gov­ern­ment of Trinidad and To­ba­go, has an­nounced its 2022 Di­a­mond Ju­bilee In­de­pen­dence Ca­lyp­so Monarch Se­mi-Fi­nal­ists. The 20 fi­nal­ists were cho­sen fol­low­ing the pre­lim­i­nary round on Sun­day 11th Sep­tem­ber 2022, at the VIP Lounge, Queen Park Sa­van­nah.  

The Se­mi-Fi­nals will be held on Sat­ur­day 17th Sep­tem­ber 2022 at the Na­pari­ma Bowl, San Fer­nan­do. The show is set to be­gin at 4:00 PM and tick­ets are $60 TTD each. 

Fol­low­ing the Se­mi-Fi­nals, ten ca­lyp­so­ni­ans will be se­lect­ed to com­pete for a $200,000 grand prize at the fi­nals which will be held at Grand Stand, Queen’s Park Sa­van­nah on Sun­day 25th Sep­tem­ber 2022 at 5:00 PM. 

The In­de­pen­dence Ca­lyp­so Monarch was last held in 2012 for T&T’s Gold­en Ju­bilee of 50 years of In­de­pen­dence.  

Tick­ets for the se­mi-fi­nals, as well as fi­nals, can be pur­chased at Na­pari­ma Bowl box of­fice and TU­CO Head Of­fice, #45C Jer­ming­ham Av­enue, Bel­mont. 

Small cool­ers are al­lowed in the am­phithe­ater on­ly, and glass bot­tles are pro­hib­it­ed.
