Po­lice of­fi­cers ar­rest­ed three peo­ple, in­clud­ing two mi­nors, and seized two firearms, quan­ti­ties of am­mu­ni­tion, and nar­cotics dur­ing an­ti-crime ex­er­cis­es in the West­ern and Port-of-Spain Di­vi­sions yes­ter­day.

In the first in­ci­dent, of­fi­cers from the West End Po­lice Sta­tion con­duct­ed an ex­er­cise in the Di­a­mond Vale dis­trict be­tween 8:30 pm on De­cem­ber 15 and 1 am on De­cem­ber 16. They stopped a white Toy­ota Corol­la with three men in­side.

Of­fi­cers searched the ve­hi­cle and dis­cov­ered a pis­tol loaded with 13 rounds of am­mu­ni­tion and a quan­ti­ty of co­caine.

The three sus­pects, aged 15 to 19 years old, all from Diego Mar­tin, were ar­rest­ed in con­nec­tion with the finds.

Mean­while, of­fi­cers from the In­ter-Agency Task Force con­duct­ed an ex­er­cise in the Laven­tille dis­trict be­tween 11 am and 6 pm yes­ter­day, in the Port-of-Spain and North East­ern Di­vi­sions. They found one pis­tol loaded with 13 rounds of am­mu­ni­tion.

They al­so re­cov­ered a Kia Sportage, which was re­port­ed stolen at gun­point in the La Hor­quet­ta dis­trict on De­cem­ber 5.
