En­ter­prise Gov­er­ment cap­tured the boys' team shoot­ing ho­n­ours at the Na­tion­al Pri­ma­ry Schools Net­ball League (NPSNL) fi­nal at the Mal­oney In­door Sport­ing Com­plex, on Wednes­day.

The trio of Ajwad Hy­po­lite (26/53), Adam Ray­mond (23/41) and Dani­lo Vial­va (22/52) com­bined to score 71 goals from 143 at­tempts to fin­ish ahead of San Juan Sev­enth-Day Ad­ven­tist's (SDA) Je­re­mi­ah Alexan­der (30/57), Joemel Joseph (21/47) and Rashawn John­son (23/41) who net­ted 66 goals from 147 tries. In the semi­fi­nal round on May 29, San Juan SDA got the bet­ter of En­ter­prise Gov­ern­ment.

The En­ter­prise boys were go­ing for the dou­ble in the Boys' League fi­nal but came up short. The or­ange-clad Vic­to­ria Dis­trict rep­re­sen­ta­tives were beat­en by Barataria An­gli­can of St George East, 13-5.

Goal-at­tack Samuel Williams led the scor­ing for the win­ners nail­ing 10 goals from his 15 at­tempts. Barataria's lanky goal-keep­er Is­rael St Vin­cente used his height to his ad­van­tage to de­ny the En­ter­prise play­ers.

Danil­lo Vial­va had a sol­id game as wing-at­tack and goal-de­fence for En­ter­prise.

Williams' goal-scor­ing form con­tin­ued in the boys' in­di­vid­ual shoot­ing de­cider as he hit 30 from 44 tries to edge San Juan SDA's Je­re­mi­ah Alexan­der who al­so scored 30 goals but did so with more at­tempts (57). Williams got re­venge on Alexan­der who was vic­to­ri­ous in the semi­fi­nals.

Ade­sha Ma­rine of San Fer­nan­do SDA al­so im­proved on her run­ner-up fin­ish in the semi­fi­nal of the girls' shoot­ing con­test to win the ti­tle. Ma­rine land­ed 30 goals from 49 at­tempts in re­sponse to the semi­fi­nal win­ner Holeisha Joseph of New­town Girls RC, who scored 17 from 23.

St George East won the girls' In­ter Dis­trict top prize get­ting past Port-of-Spain 7-5. Jer­mi­na Weekes (4/6) and Se­le­na Mur­ray (3/7) were the net­ters for the Cham­pi­on Dis­trict while Joseph hit 4/4 for Port-of-Spain.

The fi­nals were orig­i­nal­ly sched­uled for Shaw Park, To­ba­go on Wednes­day but were shift­ed to Mal­oney as ac­cord­ing to the pres­i­dent of the NPSNL, Nico­la Mc Nicolls, the or­gan­i­sa­tion could not se­cure re­turn flights from To­ba­go on Wednes­day for the Trinidad schools. The girls' fi­nal in­volv­ing St Gabriel's Ro­man Catholic of the Vic­to­ria Ed­u­ca­tion­al Dis­trict and To­ba­go's Scar­bor­ough Methodist has been post­poned to Thurs­day (June 13) along with the girls' team shoot­ing fi­nal where Table­piece Gov­ern­ment of To­ba­go will square off against Barataria An­gli­can (St George East). Both fi­nals are ten­ta­tive­ly set for Shaw Park.
