RAWALPINDI – West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder produced his second Player-of-the-Match performance in three games to lead Islamabad United to a comfortable 47-run victory over the winless Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Wednesday.

After being sent in to bat at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Islamabad posted a competitive 202 for six from their 20 overs.

They were led by opener Sahibzada Farhan, who topscored with 53 from 35 balls, while Colin Munro lashed 48 from 25 balls, Haider Ali 33 off 16 balls and Holder pummeled an unbeaten 32 from just 14 balls with three fours and two sixes.

Barbadian Chris Jordan was Multan’s best bowler with 2-41 from his four overs.

Holder then ran through Multan’s middle and lower order on his way to figures of 4-25 from his four overs, as they were dismissed for 155 from 18.4 overs to see Islamabad romp to their third win in as many matches.

Multans captain Mohammad Rizwan made 38 from 27 balls in an otherwise disappointing batting performance that saw them slump to their second straight loss.
