Eight senior ranking members of Shotokan Karate of T&T (SKOTT) recently returned from a karate camp held in Grant's Pass, Oregon, where karate examinations were also conducted for high level karatekas. SKOTT is also a member of the World Karate Confederation (WKC).
Guardian columnist and karate Instructor, Sensei Brian Chin Leung was awarded the rank of eight degree black belt which now makes him the most senior Shotokan instructor in the Caribbean.
Also moving up in ranks were Adam Chin Leung, 5th Degree black belt; Gem Trotman, 4th Degree black belt and Michael Balloo 4th Degree black belt.
