Chin Leung now an 8th degree black belt

Eight se­nior rank­ing mem­bers of Shotokan Karate of T&T (SKOTT) re­cent­ly re­turned from a karate camp held in Grant's Pass, Ore­gon, where karate ex­am­i­na­tions were al­so con­duct­ed for high lev­el karatekas. SKOTT is al­so a mem­ber of the World Karate Con­fed­er­a­tion (WKC).

Guardian colum­nist and karate In­struc­tor, Sen­sei Bri­an Chin Le­ung was award­ed the rank of eight de­gree black belt which now makes him the most se­nior Shotokan in­struc­tor in the Caribbean.

Al­so mov­ing up in ranks were Adam Chin Le­ung, 5th De­gree black belt; Gem Trot­man, 4th De­gree black belt and Michael Bal­loo 4th De­gree black belt.

The SKOTT trip was made pos­si­ble through sup­port from the Min­istry of Sport and Youth Af­fairs.
