The 2020 Hero CPL tournament sadly came to an end last Thursday with an entertaining final between the Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) and the St Lucia Zouks (SLZ). At one time, the game seemed to be heading in favour of the Zouks, but the TKR kept plugging away and wearing their opposition down until finally, they succumbed by 8 wickets.

Opening batsmann Lendl Simmons (84) and Darren Bravo (58) both ended unbeaten, helped guide the Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) to completed the first perfect season in franchise T20 history with an unbroken partnership of 138 off 88 balls, the highest of Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2020 and the highest ever in a final.

Today is the long-awaited Caribbean Premier League (CPL) final and after 32 matches, only two teams remain standing - the favourites Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR), and the St Lucia Zouks (SLZ). Many of you would have predicted TKR to reach this far but who would have chosen SLZ to get this far? Certainly not me.
