Another COVID-19 death

One more per­son has died from COVID-19, the Min­istry of Health con­firmed yes­ter­day in its dai­ly up­date.

The per­son was iden­ti­fied as a male with pre-ex­ist­ing med­ical con­di­tions.

It took the lo­cal count to 110.

The up­date con­firmed 50 new in­fec­tions, one day af­ter it said no new cas­es were con­firmed for the pre­vi­ous pe­ri­od of test­ing.

Yes­ter­day’s new cas­es were from sam­ples tak­en be­tween Sat­ur­day and Mon­day, the up­date in­di­cat­ed. The min­istry said 43 peo­ple were re­leased from its care, five peo­ple were dis­charged from pub­lic health fa­cil­i­ties and 37 more re­leased from home self-iso­la­tion.

Ac­tive cas­es rose to 715.
