ANSA Mc AL Group has for the second consecutive year agreed to contribute towards the Cuba—Trinidad and Tobago Cultural Exchange.
The Cuba—Trinidad and Tobago Cultural Exchange project originated in 2015 when Success Laventille Secondary School, through its Success Stars Pan Sounds accepted an invitation from the Government of Cuba in collaboration with the Cuban Institute of Music, to perform in several musical workshops throughout Cuba.
In 2017, Cuba—Trinidad and Tobago Cultural Exchange hosted El Conjunto Folkorico Nacional de Cuba a 36 member contingent of one of Cuba’s premiere folkloric, internationally acclaimed performing arts company with Nicholas Cumberbatch, project manager, at the helm.
This year’s event featured Habana Compas Dance, a twenty 20 member percussive dance company, as well as students from several performing arts schools in Trinidad and Tobago who were encouraged to participate in Dance and Percussion workshops from January 12 to 22.
The ANSA McAL Group values the important objectives coming out of this cultural-educational exchange between our two countries which directly benefits our peoples.
