The Pro­gres­sive De­mo­c­ra­t­ic Pa­tri­ots (PDP) has an­nounced its can­di­dates for the up­com­ing To­ba­go House of As­sem­bly (THA) elec­tions, sched­uled for Mon­day 6th De­cem­ber 2021.

A re­lease from the PDP this morn­ing notes that Deputy Po­lit­i­cal Leader, Far­ley Au­gus­tine, will be lead­ing the team of As­sem­bly hope­fuls, who are drawn from var­i­ous pro­fes­sion­al fields in­clud­ing: ed­u­ca­tion, pub­lic health, agri­cul­ture, en­vi­ron­men­tal man­age­ment, cul­ture and the arts, in­fra­struc­ture, ur­ban de­vel­op­ment, fi­nance and sport.

The 15 can­di­dates are:

The PDP has cho­sen as its slo­gan for the up­com­ing elec­tion, “Leh We Fix Dis”, and has called on all To­bag­o­ni­ans to en­sure they vote in the De­cem­ber 6th poll.

The PDP said in its re­lease:

“The par­ty strong­ly be­lieves in de­mo­c­ra­t­ic gov­er­nance and hopes to reengi­neer the To­ba­go House of As­sem­bly in­to a sys­tem that works for all To­bag­o­ni­ans; a sys­tem in which re­sources are bet­ter man­aged, trans­paren­cy and ac­count­abil­i­ty are ev­i­dent, and all sec­tors of so­ci­ety ben­e­fit as a re­sult.”

It added: “We now call on all To­bag­o­ni­ans to come out in your num­bers on De­cem­ber 6th to vote re­sound­ing­ly for the PDP. TO­BA­GO, LEH WE FIX DIS!”
