Holding up placards, pupils, parents and supporters took to the street calling for more and more nationals to uphold nation building values to prevent the society from further decay.
The walk, which took place on Saturday, was hosted by the Sri Satya Sai Baba organisation. The event commenced at the Esmeralda Recreation Ground and culminated at the Sai Baba ECCE school at Longdenville.
Vinti Mohip, president of the Sri Satya Sai Baba organisation, said the community needs to put values high on their agenda.
She said the five Satya Sai Baba ECCE schools in T&T are based on a system of positive values. “We are not giving up on our beautiful T&T,” she said.
She said change starts from very young and it was important that adults work with young people infuse values during their formative years so the benefits can be reaped later on.
Mohip said contrary to what some people may think, her organisation is not a Hindu based organisation but encompasses all religions.
She said, “This is a spiritual organisation based on love and service, Spirituality is based on the work of all religions around the world.”
