President calls on public to ‘build a more compassionate nation’

Pres­i­dent Chris­tine Kan­ga­loo has called on the pub­lic to work to­geth­er to build a more com­pas­sion­ate coun­try.

In her an­nu­al Christ­mas mes­sage, Pres­i­dent Kan­ga­loo urged cit­i­zens to em­body the true spir­it of the sea­son by fos­ter­ing uni­ty, and kind­ness.

“As we cel­e­brate this joy­ous time of year, let us em­brace the op­por­tu­ni­ty to strength­en the bonds that unite us as a peo­ple,” the Pres­i­dent said.

“Let us work to­geth­er to build a stronger, more con­nect­ed, and more com­pas­sion­ate na­tion—one that we can all be proud to call home.”

She urged cit­i­zens to fo­cus on acts of kind­ness, gen­eros­i­ty, and em­pa­thy, em­pha­sis­ing that these val­ues are the foun­da­tion of a bet­ter so­ci­ety.

“The true essence of Christ­mas lies in giv­ing, car­ing, and sup­port­ing one an­oth­er,” she added.

The Pres­i­dent and hus­band, Ker­wyn Gar­cia, ex­tend­ed heart­felt wish­es to all cit­i­zens for a safe and joy­ous sea­son.

“My hus­band and I send our warmest greet­ings to every mem­ber of our beloved na­tion. May this Christ­mas bring hap­pi­ness, peace, and bless­ings to all,” she said.

The Pres­i­dent al­so en­cour­aged every­one to car­ry the spir­it of Christ­mas through­out the year.
