Some 18 more peo­ple in To­ba­go have test­ed pos­i­tive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, mov­ing to 406 the num­ber of cur­rent ac­tive in­fec­tions on the is­land, ac­cord­ing to the lat­est up­date from the Di­vi­sion of Health, Well­ness and So­cial Pro­tec­tion, in the To­ba­go House of As­sem­bly (THA), dat­ed Tues­day 31 May 2022.

Thir­teen more peo­ple in To­ba­go have test­ed pos­i­tive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, mov­ing to 445 the num­ber of cur­rent ac­tive in­fec­tions on the is­land, ac­cord­ing to the lat­est up­date from the Di­vi­sion of Health, Well­ness and So­cial Pro­tec­tion, in the To­ba­go House of As­sem­bly (THA), dat­ed Mon­day 30 May 2022.

To­ba­go is re­port­ing 18 new cas­es of COVID 19 in­fec­tions, tak­ing the is­land's cur­rent ac­tive cas­es to 453. Nine­teen peo­ple are cur­rent­ly in hos­pi­tal with the virus.

The Min­istry of Health has record­ed 4 ad­di­tion­al COVID re­lat­ed deaths. This brings the to­tal num­ber of deaths to 3,916. There are cur­rent­ly 183 pa­tients in the hos­pi­tal. The min­istry has al­so record­ed 227 new COVID cas­es in the last 24 hours, bring­ing the to­tal num­ber of ac­tive cas­es to 9,233. 

The Min­istry of Health is re­port­ing there was one COVID-19-re­lat­ed death, as of 4:00 pm to­day, Fri­day 27 May 2022.  That means the death toll from the dis­ease now stands at 3,903 lives lost.

Over the past 24 hours, some nine new pos­i­tive cas­es of COVID-19 have been re­port­ed in To­ba­go.  There are now 465 cur­rent ac­tive in­fec­tions on the is­land.

Over the past 24 hours, some 35 new pos­i­tive cas­es of COVID-19 have been re­port­ed in To­ba­go.  There are now 503 cur­rent ac­tive in­fec­tions on the is­land.

WASH­ING­TON (AP) — The White House on Thurs­day an­nounced more steps to make the an­tivi­ral treat­ment Paxlovid more ac­ces­si­ble across the U.S. as it projects COVID-19 in­fec­tions will con­tin­ue to spread over the sum­mer trav­el sea­son.

To­ba­go is re­port­ing 43 new cas­es of COVID 19 in­fec­tions, tak­ing the is­land's cur­rent ac­tive cas­es to 530. Thir­teen peo­ple are cur­rent­ly in hos­pi­tal with the virus.

Pfiz­er said Wednes­day that it will pro­vide near­ly two dozen prod­ucts, in­clud­ing its top-sell­ing COVID-19 vac­cine and treat­ment, at not-for-prof­it prices in some of the world’s poor­est coun­tries.

Par­ents hop­ing to get their youngest chil­dren vac­ci­nat­ed against COVID-19 got some en­cour­ag­ing news Mon­day.
