(AP) — Dr. An­tho­ny Fau­ci has giv­en an up­beat as­sess­ment of the cur­rent state of the coro­n­avirus in the Unit­ed States, say­ing the coun­try is “out of the pan­dem­ic phase” when it comes to new in­fec­tions, hos­pi­tal­iza­tions and deaths, but that it ap­pears to be mak­ing a tran­si­tion to COVID-19 be­com­ing an en­dem­ic dis­ease — oc­cur­ring reg­u­lar­ly in cer­tain ar­eas.

The Min­istry of Health has record­ed 1 ad­di­tion­al COVID re­lat­ed death. This brings the to­tal num­ber of deaths to 3,812. There are cur­rent­ly 147 pa­tients in the hos­pi­tal. The min­istry has al­so record­ed 475 new COVID cas­es in the last 24 hours, bring­ing the to­tal num­ber of ac­tive cas­es to 6,943.

The Min­istry of Health has record­ed 3 ad­di­tion­al COVID re­lat­ed death. This brings the to­tal num­ber of deaths to 3,811. There are cur­rent­ly 153 pa­tients in the hos­pi­tal. The min­istry has al­so record­ed 419 new COVID cas­es in the last 24 hours, bring­ing the to­tal num­ber of ac­tive cas­es to 6,705.
